Samsung Galaxy Note 20’s chipset might not be that bad after all

With the Galaxy Note 20 launch just a week away, all eyes will be on what upgrades Samsung brings to the table. While the chipset might remain unchanged, there might be a silver lining. While Samsung flagship like the Note series and the S series are powered by Snapdragon chipsets in the US and European markets, they come with Exynos chipset in Asian markets such as India. It often tends to lose out on the performance front against Qualcomm Snapdragon counterparts. However, a new leak suggests some good news in this regard. iPhonen palautus voi muuttua pian paljon käytännöllisemmäksi

Apple näyttäisi testaavan toiminnallisuutta, jolla iPhonen tai iPadin palautus tehdasasetuksille onnistuisi puhelimen kautta verkon välityksellä.

Väite perustuu tietoihin, jotka näyttäisivät ominaisuuden tulevan iOS 13.4.-version kolmanteen betaan.

Betassa nimittäin mainitaan toiminto nimeltä "OS Recovery", joka näyttäisi olevan keino palauttaa iOS- ja Apple-laite verkon välityksellä. Sen perusteella toimenpiteen voisi tehdä myös nähtävästi liittämällä haluttu laite toiseen iPhoneen tai iPadiin.

Nykyään, jos Apple-laitteen haluaa palauttaa alkuperäisiin asetuksiin, käyttäjä joutuu liittämään laitteen tietokoneeseen. Jos jatkossa toiminnon voisi tehdä suoraan verkon välityksellä, se helpottaisi toimenpidettä huomattavasti.

Se tekisi palautuksesta samalla huomattavasti samankaltaisen kuin Applen Migration Assistant -työkalu toimii tällä hetkellä Maceissa.

Ja etenkin Applen tuotteet, kuten Apple Watch tai HomePod-älykaiuttimet, hyötyisivät paljon nyt väitetystä toiminnallisuudesta.

Mutta koska kyseessä on vain betassa ollut ilmoitus, Apple näyttää toistaiseksi vain testaavan aihetta ja voi päättää jopa olla lisäämättä sitä virallisesti. Toivottavasti se nähdään kuitenkin tulevaisuudessa osana iOS-päivityksiä.
