Samsung Galaxy Note 20’s chipset might not be that bad after all

With the Galaxy Note 20 launch just a week away, all eyes will be on what upgrades Samsung brings to the table. While the chipset might remain unchanged, there might be a silver lining. While Samsung flagship like the Note series and the S series are powered by Snapdragon chipsets in the US and European markets, they come with Exynos chipset in Asian markets such as India. It often tends to lose out on the performance front against Qualcomm Snapdragon counterparts. However, a new leak suggests some good news in this regard. These optimizations should bring it closer to the Snapdragon 865 series. He even suggested that it is almost li

Oppo pushes mobile photography to new extremes with Reno 10x Zoom

Recent years have seen mobile photography pushed to new extremes. While mobile phones have all but replaced standard point and shoot cameras, they are now aiming at higher-end cameras with features such as bokeh effect, low-light photography and higher optical zoom ranges.  Oppo was the first mobile phone manufacturer to showcase prism-based camera technology, that allowed for much larger optical zooming than the 2x zoom found on most phones. The Oppo Reno 10X Zoom features a hybrid zooming mechanism that get you a 10x lossless zoom. If you really want to stretch it out, it can go as high as 60X digital zoom which is unheard of in a smartphone. The Oppo Reno 10X Zoom is a flagship phone with top specs, such as the latest Snapdragon 855 processor with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It looks gorgeous with a full screen design on the front and Oppo’s ingenious shark-fin slider that hides the front facing camera. The phone is absolutely gorgeous and feels very premium in your hands. W

The 2019 Chevy Silverado hints at future autonomous trucks in one specific way

Someday, a truck will be more like a rolling, portable workshop than something you actually drive. In many ways, trucks are already heading in that direction, and one early sign of progress is the new power outlet in the truck bed of the 2019 Chevy Silverado. Granted, it’s a fairly minor addition. However, I decided to try quite a few tests with the outlet to see how it all worked, and what life with a truck in the future might be like. If you don’t know, truck beds have evolved quite a bit since the days when trucks only provided a flat area to store your stuff and move a pile of rocks. Lockable storage compartments were just the beginning. The Honda Ridgeline has a large tub you can use for holding water and ice. Electronic tailgates are common, as are steps that fold out so you can climb aboard easier. Truck owners – at least the serious ones who do construction work or other jobs – spend as much time in the back of a truck organizing and using their gear as actually driving. In

The best free Android apps of 2019

It has been over ten years since Android was first outed by Google, and back then it was hard to imagine the sheer number of apps we'd have today. There are apps for everything, and many of them are completely free, meaning you're just a few downloads away from supercharging your smartphone at no extra cost. Admittedly, the huge quantity of apps doesn't mean they're all quality - far from it in fact, and finding the good ones can be tough. What's the best phone of 2019? There are tools and techniques to help, with various lists in the Play Store providing you with Editor's Picks across a range of categories, new releases and even apps that are specifically recommended for you based on your previous installs. You can also hunt out apps that are similar to your favorites by searching for an app you have and seeing what else comes up. And checking out user reviews and ratings can save you from downloading a dud of an app. But even with all that, the sheer numb
