Samsung Galaxy Note 20’s chipset might not be that bad after all

With the Galaxy Note 20 launch just a week away, all eyes will be on what upgrades Samsung brings to the table. While the chipset might remain unchanged, there might be a silver lining. While Samsung flagship like the Note series and the S series are powered by Snapdragon chipsets in the US and European markets, they come with Exynos chipset in Asian markets such as India. It often tends to lose out on the performance front against Qualcomm Snapdragon counterparts. However, a new leak suggests some good news in this regard. Samsung Galaxy Note 20 release date, price, news and leaks Upcoming smartphones in India: Specs, launch date, price (Image credit: Samsung/WinFuture) According to a tweet by Anthony, a Youtuber, Samsung Galaxy Note 20 will continue to be powered by the Exynos 990 chipset, but with major improvements in terms of the performance and efficiency. The new TCL Roku 4K HDR TVs for 2018 just launched at $650

The new TCL Roku 4KTVs for 2018 are the poised to become our favorite affordable televisions this year thanks to their high-end features and desirable starting price. TCL's all-new 6-series costs $649 on Amazon for the 55-inch version , and $999 for the 65-inch model , and each packs in advancements over last year's TCL P6-Series . Notably, these new LED TVs feature more local area dimming technology – or what TCL calls 'Contrast Control Zones' – for superior contrast ratio. It's how LED manufacturers are trying to compete with more contrast-rich OLED technology. The P6-Series had local dimming, too, but only 72 of these contrast control zones. This year's televisions bump that up to 96 zones for the 55-inch TV, and 120 zones for the 65-inch model. So, on the larger TV, in addition to the 10 inches of extra screen space, you get 24 more local dimming zones for your extra $350. All of this is in addition to returning TV features, including Dolby Vision HDR (

2018 FIFA World Cup Russia is a free update to FIFA 18 and out in May

With all the talk and controversy surrounding loot-box cash grabs in gaming, EA has decided to buck the trend by announcing that it will be making 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia a free update to FIFA 18 , not a standalone game.  Obviously this means that you will need a copy of FIFA 18 on Xbox One, PS4, PC or Nintendo Switch but once you have this a download will be available come 29 May.  The update adds an officially-licensed World Cup mode. So expect teams, stadiums and kits - alongside the official match ball and trophy.  Game modes included in the update are: FIFA World Cup Kick-Off; FIFA World Cup Tournament; and FIFA World Cup Ultimate Team.  Iconic players There is a custom tournament mode and all 12 Russian stadiums are available through the update, as well as cinematic scenes so you can dream and see what it’s like for your preferred team to win the World Cup (yes, even England). It won’t just be new players that take center stage but a gaggle of the “most iconic player’s f

T-Mobile and Sprint merger: here’s what it means

T-Mobile and Sprint have announced that they intend to merge into a unified carrier simply called T-Mobile. This will put the conjoined company in number three position in terms of subscribers behind Verizon and AT&T. By joining forces, T-Mobile now comprises of both company’s subscribers, as well as those who use MetroPCS, Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile. T-Mobile claims that it will be able to provide “lower prices, better quality, unmatched value, and greater competition” to US customers. How exactly it intends to do that hasn’t yet been disclosed – probably because the companies haven’t actually merged yet. The merger is expected to transpire no later than the first half of 2019. T-Mobile’s first mission is to be the first to deploy a blanket of 5G coverage over the US. In addition to the boon that 5G claims to be in terms of connectivity quality and speed, it claims that accomplishing such a lofty goal will bring as much as three million new jobs in the US by 2024. If you’

New Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer drops Wednesday – and art book leaks

Red Dead Redemption 2 news is like the mirage in the desert; hovering just out of sight, promising water, but the closer you get, the further away it seems to be.  Well, we’ve got a couple of tantalizing pieces of news relating to Rockstar’s much-anticipated much-delayed western sequel to what is arguably one of the greatest games of all time. The official Rockstar Twitter account has tweeted that the third Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer will be going live May 2, 11am ET. As we’re a good long way before the October 26 release date, we’re sure it won’t be the last trailer, but given how much of the world we saw in the last one , we’re excited. Double the trouble If you just can’t wait for the trailer, Rockstar has included a video in the teaser for the trailer, that you can hold up to your parched lips, trying to sup any hydration from its meagre offering (below).  But hold your horses partner, that’s not all we’ve got for you. New AMD Ryzen and Ryzen Threadripper product listings leak out

We've had our first taste of Ryzen 2nd Generation with the Ryzen 5 2600X and Ryzen 7 2700X , but AMD has many more processors in store for us. Videocardz spotted an official AMD listing that detailed multiple unreleased Ryzen 2000 series processors and the first mentions of high-end Ryzen Threadripper 2nd Generation chips. The ‘product master document,’ which has since been taken down, supposedly said AMD would grow its Ryzen 5 family with a new 2500X part. Meanwhile, it seems the launch of Ryzen 3 will kick off with a new 2100 and 2300X. The Ryzen 5 2500X is a curious new addition given that there was never a Ryzen 5 1500X. However, considering that the Ryzen 5 2400G moniker has already been taken by a Raven Ridge APU chip, this new addition will likely be a replacement for AMD’s mid-range quad-core chip for gaming. From the leaked listings it also seems we can expect at least three AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2nd generation processors including the 2900X, 2920X and 2950X. As

Rumored cheaper MacBook Air allegedly delayed to second half of 2018

There’s been more chatter on the laptop grapevine regarding the rumored incoming budget MacBook Air , which apparently now won’t arrive in the next couple of months, as previous speculation has indicated, but will be delayed until the second half of this year. From the off, we should say that you might want to keep your salt shaker handy, as this news comes from DigiTimes , which isn't always the most reliable outlet. And furthermore, bear in mind this is a rumor about a rumor, as the original speculation about a new 13-inch MacBook Air with a ‘lower price tag’ came last month from Ming-Chi Kuo , an analyst at KGI Securities (who has, coincidentally, just left KGI). Kuo believed this cheaper MacBook Air could turn up in the second quarter of this year – i.e. before the end of June – but according to DigiTimes’ sources in the manufacturing supply chain, mass production of the new model won't begin until the second half of 2018.
